Before your dentist do its thing for your teeth, options are always there for you to choose upon.
And before putting your crown you can choose of what dental crown you would want in your tooth.
Basically, there are three types of dental crown.
Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM)
This is so far the top-tier of dental crown because of its longevity and appearance. PFM is metal base and is covered by porcelain to compliment to the colour of the teeth. The success of PFM is high compared to other types of crown.
Ceramic/Porcelain crown
This is best for cosmetics because of its appearance but it’s not as strong as a metal crown is. Ceramic is more fragile but is better for the appearance.
Metal crown
Durability is the anchor of metal crown. Usually, it is made of gold. However, some may find it unappealing because of the color it will bring to the teeth.
